  3. July-August 2020
I took this class for a nursing prerequisite.
I really enjoyed the labs. It was kind of stressful at times having to complete them at home, but I was able to learn a lot by doing them on my own.
I will be able to use the things I learn in this class as I advance my education in nursing.
Overall this was a very challenging but awesome class!

The date you were taking this course. Summer 2020
A reason you have taken this class? Dental Hygiene Prerequisite
What were your most favorite activities and assignments and why? The labs were very long but I did enjoy doing them.
What were your least favorite activities and assignments and why? My least favorite were the powerpoints since I am not good at those types of things. The next was how much studying that it took for testing. I knew this class was going to be difficult and I wish I would have not taken it with 3 other hard science classes at one time. I am going to miss the A grade mark by less than a couple points.
How you will be able to use materials learned in BI 234? I know the time it takes for bacteria colonies to grow and I can utilize the knowledge I learned in this class in the dental world as an assistant currently and later as a hygienist.
Your suggestions on the BI 234 online course improvements.I think is organized well for an online class. The labs took a long time though but were doable as long as I didn’t fall behind.

I took the course Summer 2020
My most favorite activity was the dna extraction. I thought it was interesting how the dna of my strawberry precipitated out of the solution. It was also one of the easier labs. My least favorite activity was when there was heat fixing involved. I felt the directions were vague and the first time my sample was not affixed to the slide well enough and came off upon rinsing.
I will be able to use everything I learned about microorganisms in my nursing career especially the knowledge I gained about pathogenic ones. I enjoyed the class but felt the labs could use better directions and labeling of supplies.

  6. I took this course during summer term of 2020. I took this class because I needed the credits to get my AAOT degree. My favorite activities were the labs because it was cool to be able to do science in my own home. My least favorite assignments were the Exams, only because they were stressful. In the future, the most important thing I took away from this class is how to better understand online learning. I think this class is very well structured. Thank you!
