Video-lectures emphasize the most important parts of the textbook material. Please review this list for all available lectures. Use power point slides, handouts, labs, and the textbook for complete coverage of the general biology class.
I really liked the structure of the class and thought it provided us with plenty of resources. I think everything was very clear and easy to follow.
One of the biggest things I appreciated about this course was having a handout to work on for some of the video lectures. I feel that it helped me understand the material better and showed me what parts of the lecture were important to remember. I also thought the labs were structured well and deepened my learning. 4 assignments on finals week were more than I was expecting. Luckily I was able to get a couple done over the weekend but if there is another way to structure those so one falls on week 10 rather than week 11. Then again, it might not be possible to restructure because of the way the information we learn lines up. Same with Labs, it might not be possible to line up because of the number of labs we have to take, but I do think if the labs were related to what we had learned in the video lectures that week, we would retain information better and be able to immediately apply what we had learned to the lab. Overall a wonderful class that strengthened my understanding of Biology!
I really like how everything was set up into weekly folders and it was honestly easy to follow. I loved the video lectures and all the work you put into this course.
